Jerry is doing much better today. No seizures recorded for past some time. Within couple of hours they will take him off EEG monitoring. I am sure he will feel much better with no wire around his head.
Speach therapist will come by today and test if he can swallow.
He told me he wants to sleep. But he cannot until someone tells him to close his eyes and sleep. I tried to put him back to sleep if he wakes up.
He also asked me why does he not see anyone here today to see him. I told him about whoever came by. He wakes up in middle of sleep and tries to figure out were he is. So if you are here tell him to close his eyes in between so he can rest.
Kidney doctor just came by and said his kidney's are getting better and out of critical conditions. Slowly it is going to get better.
He really wants to see and talk to friends and people that he has been close to for long.
May be we can use this forum to let other people know what time you are coming so that you do not have to wait outside in Family Lounge.
I wish I could stay but I have to leave just for a bit and will be back later. I am hoping someone is going to be here soon.

I am here at the Family Lounge. Stepped out so that two guests would go in and visit him. I may leave here in a few minutes since I have some honey-do's to do and I'm in the dog house for some reason.
Please keep me informed. For the time being, I think that text will be the best bet. You guys have my number.
It's already 2:55 PM.
BTW, There are two people in the room. I forget their names but they are very nice, and they were singing Jerry some Christian music the other day.
Jerry and I had a nice tallk. He did't remember me very much until I started to describe to him who I was, what I did and how we got to know each other close. He asked me how I knew that he was in here and I was in the middle of telling him how when a couple walked in.
Our conversation was mainly about religion, who I was and throughout the conversation we would pause and we would talk about what I did in the campus with him. He remembers my spaghetti bolognese, is afraid of being by himself and would like to have someone with him. He had me in tears when I was listening to him having a normal conversation and we were talking about prayer and in Jesus Christ. He told some things that made me feel at peace and I told him that everything for him will be alright.
I feel bad that I told Jerry that I will be here for a good while, But I need to go. Hopefully I can come back later on tonight.
So far, no nurse updates on my end. Please take care guys and I pray to thank the Lord for helping Jerry out and doing everything he has done.

Hello everyone. I am Joan, Jerry's sister-in-law. My brother, my sisters and I would like to tell you how deeply touched we are by your care and concern for Jerry. We are following your blog very closely. We believe you are key to Jerry's good progress.
Please note that Jerry designated Dan Boron, a close friend and a member of his congregation, as his next of kin in Dallas to the hospital. Dan has very kindly sought, received and passed on frequent and regular medical updates to us - Jerrybear's west coast family - and to Jerry's sister in Germany.
Please accept our gratitude for all that you have done and for getting us to this point.
-Joan

Came to visit him with my family. He seemed a little disoriented and confused at first. Then, as we continued the conversation he seemed to recall and remember. He joked a little bit and enjoyed our visit. Praise God he is doing much better!!

Lord, in the heavens is your grace; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Your righteousness is like the mountains of God, your judgments are the like the great deep. You save man and beast, Lord. How Precious, God, is you Grace! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings, they feast on the great bounty of your house, and you have them drink from the streams of your delights, for with you is the Fountain of Life; in your light we see light.Continue your Grace to those who know you and your righteousness to the upright in heart. (Ps.36) We Thank You Lord for restoring Jerry's health; Our Heart if Yours, Lord!!

Jerry is eating his first meal of solid food for days. He says, "it's hard to eat" but he is driving on.
He had a good conversation with the nurse and with Adam and I.
Folks, consider this as classic Jerry response to his circumstances.
He kept asking about how I am doing, then he would fuss a bit about me. When I told him I am fine and I wanted him to rest and take care of himself, he responded, "I want to make sure you are OK".
This man has the biggest heart and it is clear by his works that Yeshua (Jesus) works mightily through Jerry.
Thank you Father for this great man of God and you revealing Yourself through him.
Keep on being Jerry!

Hello everyone,
Quick update...
Nothing much has changed I wound up staying the night with Jerry and he did fairly well. He had an issue with not breathing properly but the nurse gave him some oxygen and he seems to like it a lot. Also, he is at times confused where he is or feels as if he had fallen out of his bed. I keep trying to reassure him that everything is ok and get him to go back to rest.
I will be leaving soon to go to church and to clean up for a new day. I'll be back later today.

Thank you Adam, I was worried since nurse told us all to leave yeatersay night. Jerry needed someone with him to put him back to sleep whenever he wakes up.
Jerry had some food this morning after but he does not feel like eating. He is still on soft food and is watched for the food he takes. So we cannot give him homemade food yet. He needs good rest.
We all need to coordinate visiting time with Jerry. I spoke with nurse and she said he needs rest as he is just moved to new room. We cannot have too many people in room at once.
But Jerry wants to see his friends. So please coordinate visiting time. He has trouble getting good sleep.
Right now we have soft music being played...its kind of helping him to get good sleep.
I will be here with Jerry till eveving. Adam is going to be here in later as well.
