Jerry is eating by himself. He was able to get up from bed and sit down on a chair. Yep, doing better by the minute.

I stopped by to see Jerry from 9am to 11am on the Friday after Thanksgiving. We has a nice chat. Manisha was there and Gabriel came later. We talked to the nurse and one of his doctors.
He left for Dialysis at 11 am so it must have taken 4 hours. Later today, he was to go to physical therapy and was to be fitted with a "Vest of Life" that is a heart monitor and defibulator. It can monitor his heart beats and shock his heart into a more regular beat if there's a problem.
Professor Keith baker visited just before Jerry left for dialysis and they had a nice talk.

Jerry was scheduled for dialysis at around 11:00 am just before I left. It was going to be for 4 hours. So if your are planning to visit, go around 4:00pm so that you get to see him.

Please visit Jerry. He requests and deeply appreciates visitors.
He looks much better, I hadn't realised how much edema he had.
He needs to eat more. Pester him.

Hello everyone,
Jerry is not going to have dialysis today. But, he is feeling very week and would like see all of us around. I am sure everything is going to be okay with time.
If anyone is planning to visit, he would be in his room H228 and will not be out for any procedures or treatments today. He likes to have visitors and deeply appreciates all who come to visit him and also those who cannot come, but are praying for his speedy recovery.Let's continue to keep him in our prayers so that he can get through this tough time.

Hello everyone,
I spent the night with Jerry last night. When I got here around 8ish he was sleeping and I did not want to disturb him so I let him sleep because I know it is hard to get much around here. Shortly after I arrived a nurse walked in to give him his medication he then woke up for a bit just enough to have a small conversation. A student/friend came in with a guitar and played a little for him which was great, he loved it a lot. After some time from taking the medication he started to become uncomfortable and starts to daydream seeing teddy bears and little babies from what he says. He has been crying a bunch so whoever comes to visit please reassure him that he is going to have a life again so he can continue to be a blessing to those around him. I know he has stories he is waiting to tell us from his experiences during this time. This morning when I woke up they brought him breakfast and he encouraged me to join him. He is eating better I think, at least better than what I have been seeing lately. Sleep is one thing he needs most here and he is not getting much due to all the disruptions over night from the nurses and I think some of the medications are not helping either. All in all he has great potential to recover but will need lots of help to watch his diet and his lifestyle.

I agree on that Adam. Jerry had me and another cisco student named Kenneth eat the rest of his plate plus the other extra dinner that they brought to him automatically.
I was stuffed. You know Jerry, he doesn't want for things to go to waste. Guess next time I go see him in the morning I won't eat any breakfast. He even told me to take home some glucerna lol.
I wonder if he's getting tired of the glucerna, I'm sure he will love muscle milk, a lot more protein and less carbs. Another great supplement and meal replacement is Labrada's Lean Body. They are like muscle milk, but a bit thinner and no sugar all.

I saw Jerry after his dyalisis today and he is doing a lot better than the last time I saw him. He is eating by himself and seemed to be in good spirits for a while. He still has memory problems, but they will get better. He wants people who visit him to post on the blog so that after his memory improves he can read what we had to say about him. He appreciates anyone who takes the time to visit him. We all hope he gets better soon.
