Hello Everyone: If you are on your way up to see Jerry tonight, please tell him Lily and Sean are thinking about him and we will see him Friday evening. Lily will pray for him, and Sean will put forth a positive postulate that Jerry will continue to move forward.
Please tell Jerry that finding him in the hospital is kind of like finding your Cisco classroom on the first day of class. He'll know what that means!
Also, tell him he needs to stop being vertically challenged...he needs to keep his spirits high and move UP floors, not down! Tell him H4XXX, not H2XXX or H3XXX. Tell him that perhaps all the up and down is source of his dizziness!
Ok, enough jokes. Jerry, I am not Christian, and I do not pray, but for you I am making an exception. If you are reading this, please pray with me as you read:
Lord, God, Supreme Being, Higher Self, please give Jerry the strength and courage he needs to win the battle his body is facing. Please help him to find comfort and do not allow him to suffer. Help him feel the spiritual presence, thoughts, and positive energy of all of us out here as we share our stories of Jerry amongst each other, with our coworkers, and our friends and families. In his solitude help him know he is NOT alone and fill his being with cherished memories of life, friends, family, accomplishments and achievement. Amen

Finding him in hospital is like finding Cisco class on first day -haha- to hilarious. But, I hope and pray he does not have to be ICU again or for long. I read most of your posts to Jerry and you know Jerry has his typical Jerry smile.

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to let you all know that Jerry is feeling better but seemed little restless and tired. It is all due to medication. He complains about having weakness as well. But I believe it is going to get better as time goes and with proper nutrition. He likes visitors. He had visitors in today. He likes to see everyone of us around. Yes nurse is strict with 2 visitors. But we can still see Jerry. He is going stay in ICU for few more days. Today Kenneth and Adam waited outside in family Lounge. I stepped in and out as well following hospital rules so that others get chance to see Jerry. After all, we all want him to rest well and recover soon.

11/21/15 Even though I wanted to sooner, I waited until last Wednesday to visit Jerry in the hospital. Honestly, I felt like I didn’t know him well enough and I didn’t want to make him feel uncomfortable or perhaps put myself in an inappropriate place. Upon reflection, I was wrong.
Wednesday night, he was not in his room, but taken away for further evaluation. I had a short, but very nice visit with one of his other care givers and her beautiful four daughter’s and new baby son. I was given Jerry’s blog to more easily keep up with his progress. This morning I read many of the posts for the first time. Wow! My personal feelings about him were confirmed over and over again as I read on.
As a result, I felt compelled to share my thoughts. Ya see, my post for Jerry really has less to do about Jerry than the people around him. In the short time I have come to know him, I have formed some strong opinions that I wanted to share with some of his other “touches” and friends. When I stay “touches,” I really means those that he has had some profound or life changing impact upon.
Jerry is not about Jerry . . . not a “me” person. He is most definitely a “you” person. It appears to me his life mission is to help and “touch” others! I believe Jesus is working through Jerry. He doesn’t work or teach because he needs it. Like Jesus though him, I believe Jerry’s mission through his work and faith is to touch others. I am not saying he is preaching or judging others, but perhaps trying to pay back for those that have touched him in prior years or perhaps he is even guided by Jesus himself. Ya see, as one of his “touches,” I can speak only for myself, but I honestly believe Jerry is an Angel sent by Jesus.
However, I believe even angel’s need our prayers, too. That said, I would like to pray now for him on behave of myself and others that he has touched or will:
Dear Lord Jesus, I pray for Jerry Mesquita. I pray for you to shine your light upon him and make him well. I pray for all of those that he (you) has touched and for reasons we will likely never know. I thought about praying for his speedy return to service . . . but then realized you are continuing to work through Jerry even while he is in the hospital and he will return in your time. I try not to question why you do things the ways you do, but understand you do. In closing, I pray for all of those that are perhaps unknowingly waiting to be touched by Jerry, other Angels or maybe even yourself in the days and years ahead. Your loving servant. Amen.

Whoever is with Jerry today please tell him I am thinking about him and holding him in my prayers. I was going to come see him today but I realized today that I can't do hospitals without having a panic attack. Give him a hug for me.

I'll try to see Jerry on Monday afternoon about 12:30 pm. If I see there's already two people visiting, I'll wait in the family room.
Thanks.

I visited Jerry around 7:00 PM today, nobody else was there. Jerry was having dinner and enjoyed talking about when I took classes in January - December 2008. He really appreciates his past students visiting him. He told me that he is having a heart surgery tomorrow, because there is a blockage in an artery. I will have him in my prayers and I know everybody as well. He is so generous and always talks about helping his students.
Thanks to everyone that is supporting him during this tough times and keep updating this forum.

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to let you all know that Jerry is getting better but is still long way for complete recovery. He has been complaining about feeling weak, tired and restless. Next few days he would need very good rest if he has to go through required heart procedure tomorrow. So will respect that and let him take rest.
All these days being there, I have noticed that the best time to visit Jerry would be from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm or as advised by nurse and care takers. So that he gets enough rest in between. Whoever is visiting and has my number can contact me. If I am up there I will for sure let you know if its good time.
Barbara, I conveyed your message to Jerry. Today, he almost slept for the entire day until late afternoon. I will tell you what he said when I come to school tomorrow.
